Diary Entry – 11th September 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! The bloody container was supposed to be delivered again today but again there was another problem with so they wanted to deliver it tomorrow but the Dodge isn’t here so he has postponed it to Friday but that is it. Friday is the day! A whole container of caravan, campervan, motorhome and horse box covers. I only discovered today that they are not palletized either so they are literally loose boxes which will all have to be hand balled off the pallet.

Cozy Beef

The weather has been absolutely awful this week so far but it does appear as though there is going to be a little let up on the weather next week and it looks as though we may have some nice weather next week which is nice because we are away for a couple of nights for a trade show at Stoneleigh near the NEC and i think it is almost a pre NEC but for retailers so i am looking forward to getting there and having a look around. Think there is me, the Dodge and another chap we work with called Mark. Mark is an internet wizard/ guru who knows all sorts of google stuff that is way beyond the realms of my understanding. He is hard wired into the Matrix.

As it doesn’t look like i will be making it to the NEC this year it will be the last time i get to see some of the people until next spring/ summer like the reps from Dometic, Camptech, Dorema and Outdoor Revolution will be nice to say to them “see you next year”. We are now in proper batten down the hatches mode now with saving money and starting to get the things that we need to get before we go. In full planning mode and preparing mode. I suppose it is a little easier for us as pretty much everything we have is in this 2m x 7m metal box.

One thing we have dusted off from under the bed already is the electric heater we have. I tell you what as well, that heater has been on some adventures with us in all extremes kinds of weather. It was on full blast in the camper in Braga when the back window smashed and kept us toasty warm. It was also on fan mode in Agadir first time round to try and cool us down as one night it was 28 degrees in the camper at night. So it has been everywhere with and is an OG and we have had to get it out already. I dont like leaving the diesel heater on all night.
