Welcome to todays diary entry! My god is it good to be back in Morocco and i do feel as though a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and for me it is always about milestones and about how many more miles, how many ferries, how many stops etc about how soon we would get to the final destination. The significance of this one now is that there are no more oceans and no more ferries required and that means that at any point i could fire up the motorhome and drive straight down to the south,
To be fair though i am really really glad that we managed to stay here and it has been really nice to see Asilah again as it is the first time we have been and to be fair i think it is fair to say that we have not always been 100% complimentary about it as our experience although relatively short was enough to sort of taint our initial experience and i think that both me and Lisa said yesterday who knows what would have happened if we had not have had that experience.

Although it is our experiences that made it possible for what ever came next. We were almost forced south because of our experience and if it wasn’t for that we would have not met Ness and Gee, Mal and Alan, Ken and Jackeh. We met so many nice people on that first trip and had such a great time in Agadir. We had a really nice time in Asilah today and we spent the morning on the campsite and after that we had a little walk into the town along the sea front and one thing i didn’t realise was just how nice the beach is in Asilah. It stretches for miles and miles and is your typical Moroccan beach and big sweeping sandy beaches are some of the best.
So we walked from the top all the down to the medina and it look totally different. Also, Morocco seems to have definitely lifted its game up and there seems to be considerably less rubbish and it looks as though they have redone the whole of this front part. Even the guardian parking didn’t look anything like how i remember it. So Asilah, I apologise, i am sorry. We stopped off at a place as i wanted to get my hands on the first Moroccan Taco of the trip. Lisa has a Lasgane, i had a pizza, a taco and we all shared some chips. We treated it like a bit of a tapas and we all just chipped in and had a bit of everything.
