Welcome to todays diary entry! Well today had a totally different ending to what last night did. The show finished for the day at 6pm but our last person came at about 16:30 so we all had a couple of drinks post 17:00pm but no one was outside by 20:30pm. I will go through that a little bit further on. The weather here has been really really nice. Well, nice to sit in but to work in and do manual labour in not so much. I was up for a bout 7am this morning and to be fair despite having several beverages last night i felt pretty good this morning. The Beef having a good sleep always helps.
As i have always said one of the best things for a hang over or a potential hang over is to get plenty of sleep. It is the tired that gets you. It is the tired that makes you poorly. SO i woke feeling relatively fresh, as i sat outside in the sun and had a cup of tea and 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen and just sat outside and it was nice being here and nice being away it did feel a little bit like a holiday until the Dodge woke up and was washing his Cadac at 07:30 in the morning and trying to plan the day which sort of brought me back down to earth with an incredible crash.

The sun was out, the optimism was waning slightly and the apprehension was growing. What if no one showed up and we have put all this effort into essentially building a polyester city and no one comes. That was made worse by the first person that turned up and said “Is this it?!” and “Is it only Outdoor Revolution here”. So that didn’t do me any good at the start of the day but i am happy to say that despite that we actually had a good day. I was gutted as i thouht id sold the first awning of the weekend but someone had pipped me to it so i was a bit cheesed about that.
It wasnt a record day but i could enough green shoots to warrant coming back again in July for the last summer show at the same place. AFter it closed down and people were gone at about 4 or 5pm apart from a few late stragglers but we sat down again to have a couple of drinks but like i mentioned above there was no rock and roll tonight. Every single one of us was in bed at 20:30 and to be honest i needed it. It is tiring work already but in this heat as well it is even more challenging but perhaps less challenging that trying to doa show in the rain.
