Welcome to todays diary entry! Just as you start to get settled we are on the road again and we are making our way east as we make our way back to Chilwell Olympia for our 2nd Outdoor Revolution show of the year. To be honest id have got here last night if i could but that got blackballed by the school earlier on in the week but back in May i know we were here for about 2pm which is what i was hoping for again. Although that didn’t happen, i had been fishing almost all day to get going but because of the back log of stuff that the Dodge had to do it never happened.
The Dodge absolutely loves a convoy, it doesn’t matter where we are going, near or far, he always say “lets go in convoy”. He did drop an absolutely classic gag when we were travelling though. He mentioned that he needed petrol and where should he get it from, there was a petrol station 100 meters in front so i suggested he called in there and as he did i continued driving past and he said “oh, i didn’t realize it was Top Gear rules”. This was in reference to the 3 guys on Top Gear who often leave someone behind etc.

I always compare myself, Dodge and Benn to the Top Gear guys and we just then spend ages debating who is who out of the 3. It is difficult really because Benn is quite abrasive and if you don’t know him he is quite easy to dislike, a little bit like Jeremy Clarkson but i am also quite like Jeremy Clarkson as well. Then Dodge who is probably the most sensible is probably a little bit James May which would leave me as Richard Hamilton, but the Dodge doesn’t like the though of being the sensible but he is the most intelligent so would fit into the James May Mold.
By the time we had sat in a some traffic we ended up getting into Chilwell for about 7pm which is well later than i wanted although it wasn’t too bad in the end because it meant that because it was raining a bit we decided to not start doing any packing etc and me, Dodge and Mum decided to go to the Blue Bell pub and have some food and a couple of drinks which was nice. I couldn’t remember the last time i had been into a pub and had some decent food, well i say decent but homely food like wings and bits and pieces like that. We arrived back at the Vans for about 10pm and we all headed off to bed with the end in sight of the 3 shows in 3 weekends.
