Welcome to todays diary entry! Surprisingly after the boozy session that was had last on pitch 352 we felt relatively fresh this morning and like almost every morning we set off to do a 5km walk but id already planned to walk to the zig zag steps. To try and explain to people about the zig zag steps, they are basically a set of steps roughly 90% of the way to Taghazout on the sea front walk, the reason why they are called the zig zag steps is that there is a flat section thats across the steps to the top, i assume this is for wheel chair use or push chairs or for push bikes.
We had set off a little later than usual that was because we woke up a little later than we do in the week. It was quite warm and I knew I was in for big trouble after setting off as Mum stated almost instantly that she was hungry and i could sense an element of ‘hanger’ in the voice and there is nothing worse than a hangry wife so i suggested we went for breakfast on the way back which was greeted with a stern look. As soon as we were getting close to the zig zag steps i suggested walking further on actually into the town to get food there. The dark cloud instantly lifted as the promise of breakfast got brought forward rather than the 4k walk back to the Boulangerie.

I frantically jumpoed onto google to research the best breakfast in Taghazout and chose one and put it in the walking sat nav and it said 14 minutes. Which was a result as to turn back would have been probably 45 minutes then waiting for food which in Morocco can sometimes take an age. We went to the place google recommended but it was a vegan place and there was no way i was doing that. So we walked over the road to somewhere else which looked nic and to be fair it was very very good.
I had some pancakes with Nutella and Strawberries and a Croque Monsieur. Mum seemed to have the whole menu she had a traditional Berber breakfast but with some toast. It was enough to fill us up for the whole day the problem then was the impending 5k walk back to the campsite. It was now about midday and on the way back the sun is directly in your face so it was probably 25 degrees and the blasting in your face. The hanger had been replaced an absolute hatred of the hot weather. Although occasionally there would be a breeze that would instantly cool you down. I was planning on having a sleep but never seemed to get around to it frustratingly. The rest of the day was just spent on the pitch relaxing and sitting under the sun canopy or the air con.
