Diary Entry – 10th December 2023

So after going to the Marjane yesterday today was the day we finally put the Christmas decorations up and put the Christmas lights up. From me being a child some things are blue jobs and some tings are pink jobs. The putting up of Christmas lights is absolutely a blue job. When we were at the Marjane yesterday with the Christmas decorations we somehow managed to turn a normal shop into a £300 experience before we take in to account the taxi fare and the McDonalds.

That is right! Your heard me correctly we had a McDonalds and for me is probably the first McDonalds i have had since the end of September so it was an absolutely delightful treat. I have always found that foreign McDonalds are far far better than the ones in the UK. Especially in mainland Europe where you can buy Heineken in them. Although it seems quite a weird concept thought a Big Mac and a pint. Just doesn’t seem right to me. But i would be lying if i say i have not tried it.

Even in Morocco sometimes you look at what you have purchased from a Supermarket and wonder where the hell has £300 quid gone. I mean like i say we bought Christmas decorations and lights. I think these big supermarket trips tend to feel more expensive as this is where we buy the meat that isn’t chicken or merguez from. Like i mentioned yesterday i have been looking a lot at a air fryer stuff and one thing that is in these shopping bags are 2 lamb shanks. I am going to try and cook them in the air fryer.
