Welcome to todays diary entry! Never before have i ever seen someone love the beach as much as the Beef. He just absolutely loves it and I’m not sure whether it is a boy thing but he just loves Diggers and Trucks and dirt. It is funny because if i remember correctly 3 different people from different places have all said exactly the same thing. They said “You don’t have a baby anymore you have a boy”. That is no doubt with reference to the fact that he always seems ot be dirty and have dirt on his hands or his arm. Even at the beach he just loves getting all the wet sand in his hands and just either throwing it up in the air.

Or when he seems to be soaking wet on the beach he then seeks out the dry sand and then proceeds to lie on it so he gets all the sand all over him. That just means that the time it takes to get to the motorhome from the beach. It becomes a huge clear up job not helped by the fact that he doth protest about coming home and if he could stay on the beach all day he could. He also loves the sea as well but hasn’t quite learnt how to counter balance against the tide. The tide here is quite strong so we always make sure we have a hold of him. Occasionally he does hit the deck but i pull him straight back up and he just laughs his head off.

Another one of his favorite things is watching me build sand castles and then takes immense pleasure in knocking them down which is another thing he seems to find incredibly amusing. He also loves it when his Mum draws shapes in the sand and then ask him to find a shape, that is probably his favorite. That and with the doggies that live on the beach as well. He just adores the beach. Sometimes in the morning with the exception of “cozy corner” and “milk” the word “beach” is the first thing he says. He would go every single day if he could and he would spend the whole day there. It is amazing how quickly he has come on and he is a top top lad. His Mum is so so so good with him and she deserves all of the credit for the job she does under relatively peculiar circumstances but if you ever spend time with him he is not different to any other boy. Like i say even with the obscure way in whcih we choose to live.
I am just eternally grateful that we have been able to have enjoyed these times with him and these are memories we will always cherish. The relationship with your children is the most important relationship in the world and to be able to have done everything we have done only will make that bond stronger. Looking back now it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as special if it hadn’t of been for having him on this journey with us. Parenting isn’t always easily but the thought of not having him around every single day just seems alien to me and there isn’t anything i would swap for the time we 3 have spent together.
