Welcome to todays diary entry! Today absolutely 100% did not go to plan 1 bit. It started off to a flyer we were packed up and ready to leave for about 9am which was in the script. We emptied the water and were off, the first stop was about 3 hours away which was the first planned leg of our trip. It started going off the rails when we decided to stop and get a McDonalds for some breakfast. As we hadnt planned this we thought why dont we go to tomorrows destination which was about 5 hours away.
I let Mum plan the route into the McDonalds as i was assured it is just off the motorway but ended up being about 10 minutes into a town and then into a train station. We then had to try and squeeze our 7m motorhome into the car park. To be fair historically i would have been getting pretty stressed and ratty, i have very little threshold for being a miserable snappy git when under high pressure driving situation but i was really good on this occasion. We had a nice McDonalds and I always love European McDonalds as they tend to do weird wild and wacky things in them.

On the way out the barrier was broke when we tried to get out and i could slowly start to feel my blood boiling but i managed to stay calm, fill up with diesel and on our way so the next stop was Burgos which was about 300 miles further on. SO we battened down the hatches and ploughed on. The beef had a huge sleep and as he woke up we had about 75 minutes left to go. So we got out at a service station and stretched our legs for a bit. This is when things then took an unexpected turn.
Mum was going through some emails and there was an email from Brittany advising where to park in Santander and there was a place with Electric for £12 a night and it was only an extra 2 hours from Burgos. So as we always seem to do we ended up ploughing on and finding somewhere in actual Santander. We decided against the one on the email as it was miles away from anything so we found one in the middle of Santander which was near the aquarium. We have not managed to get into an aquarium since Gijon last year so we are keen to get the Beef into one so we can see what he thinks of it now he is older and wiser.
