Welcome to todays diary entry! We have officially bought our tickets for the ferry today and have also managed to bring the date of the ferry forward as well by a day so Sunday is the day of the ferry now instead of waiting for Monday. We have had the officially meeting of people on the convoy. Jesus Christ there is a lot of people! But i will get into that a little bit later one! We had errands to do today and the most exciting part of that was going to see the elusive Carlos. Anyone who has ever been to Morocco in there leisure vehicle will know about Carlos.
Its like one of those things which is like “Say you have been to Morocco without saying you have been to Morocco”. I think 90% of the Morocco tickets come through him and he was just sort of sitting outside his shop when we got there with a big grin on his face. The tickets for an open ended return was £249.57 for the 3 of us and for the motorhome. The beauty of that is the flexibility of the open ended return because no one really knows when they will want to leave when they first get over there.

So we left Gib headed to Algeciras to get tickets and get some supplies from the Carrefour and i even treated myself to a KFC. I cannot remember the last time i had a KFC and to be honest it was absolutely delightful. There is one in Agadir but i have never been to that one. I think Ness and Gee have been to that one before but i think they were poorly when they went so that sort of put me off a bit. It was definitely the KFC they say no the beers or cocktails that they had that night.
So this was it then, the big night, the big reveal just how many people were coming on the convoy. Some decided to stay in Algeciras which annoyed me a bit because its like a 20 minute drive but you lose the ability to be able to moan at people when it has been so heavily advertised as a “Free to join, Free to leave convoy”. I went and got my table and chairs and sat round the back of the motorhome. Then we were joined by the Brookes, The Fegan’s and then a couple more, couple more, couple more and then throughout the night. The circle started off quite small and gradually got bigger and bigger and bigger until the circle was huge. It is so mad to think we are going to do this. Tonight was a brilliant eye opener as to what can be achieved with social media. There was English vans, French vans, Spanish vans, Portuguese vans, single people, young people, older people. It was incredible to see. People just kept turning up. Just when you thought that was it in the darkness you would see another couple of people with there chairs.
