Welcome to todays diary entry! Today i woke up with a fire in my belly. I got round to doing something we had talked about for weeks now and moving the motorhome around and facing the road. In hindsight i wished we never faced the back wall and it never really felt right but in part through being a bit of a lazy camper i never had the enthusiasm to move it around. The drivers for the decision in the beginning was mainly due to the location of the water and electric but after the last couple of weeks and with the realisation we have only best part of a month left i wanted to make sure that in every opportunity i was enhancing my remaining time here until we return in October.

The day started with me trying to empty the awning and work but i managed to get the awning empty, the carpet up and the footprint up as well as all of the stuff out of it. The beauty of this move as well was it allowed me to do something that i had been threatening to do for the last week or so. I just wanted to get the key in the ignition and turn the engine over to see how it was doing and just to let it get a bit blood in its veins. I was absolutely buzzing to see the engine fire up straight away and then whilst i had to move it to the other side of the pitch i took her for a little drive around the campsite and empited the grey waste at the same time.

That was a great feeling to hear the engine go and the motorhome was just exactly how it should have been and for someone like myself who does worry about stuff like that it took a huge weight off my shoulders and a big smile on my face. I think before we set off we will get her on the road and have a little potter about for 5 minutes up the road and back down just to get the blood pumping again before we tackle the biggest bit of driving that we will do during the whole trip back which will be on the 31st January as we intend to try and get the Kenitra which will leave 3 hours to Tangier.
With the view to being a couple of hours into Spain by the time it gets dark on the 1st February. Lisa is bricking it about being back in the cold. As in the real cold not like putting the heater on for 10 minutes in the morning here the weather in the UK at the moment is apparently -20 in some places. That is very very cold but hopefully we will be due an Indian spring. It will be the first time in 3 or 4 years that i will be home for my birthday as well which will be nice. We have earmarked the 5th February for the ferry back to the UK from Santander and annoyingly the Plymouth ferries don’t start until April so we are going to jump on the faster one of the Portsmouth ferries and get back to Portsmouth on the 6th at about 9pm.
