Welcome to todays diary entry! For the last few weeks or certainly as soon as we could we have been checking the Bay of Biscay weather and to be fair we thought we were on for a good boat. Will get onto that a bit later. Well by the time we woke this morning with the weather considerably better than it has been for the last night or so at Camping Antral. The fact that you could see 100 meters down the road meant that i knew the weather was better. Last couple of days it has been very misty in the morning and also really cold so it was very nice to get back here in what is one of my favorite places in Santander. And it is fitting that we have been blessed with a little bit of decent weather.

We pretty woke up and decided to just get to the port as quick as we could once you are parked up you can walk around the town and stuff you just have to get through the gates. I was trying to work as much as i could as i was pretty much goin to be off line for the next 36 hours so tried to do as much as could before i had to get on the big bloody metal thing. I wasn’t worried though because we had checked the weather and i had enough anti sickness tablet to sedate a small Moroccan army so i worry less. As long as the wave forecast isn’t wild in which case id probably just walk home.

We made pretty good time moving off and we were o time which is always a good start but then almost the second we got out of the harbor it just seemed very choppy and you can tell almost instantly that Mum wasn’t enjoying it and she just sat there a bit pale. I knew she wasn’t enjoying it because she only had 1 glass of wine. I kept saying being the supportive doting husband that i am that she should take some tablets but she didn’t fancy it. We have been buying food passes for the ferries last few times as well so we went and got some food which again was nice.
I was being outnumbered now by people not enjoying and me not being too fussed as Rory went a bit pale and went off his food so we assumed it had gotten him as well. Id bought a pint for me and a pint for Mum and after about 3 minutes so said “You can finish mine, i am going to go to bed”. It was at this point i knew it must be serious. Normally there isn’t anything that would result in here leaving that drink. She did. So i finished it and then headed back myself, with these anti sickness tablets and 2 or 3 pints i seem to get narcolepsy and struggle to stay awake so after i finished the 2nd i made a quick dash and went straight back to the room and we all pretty much fell asleep straight away and at about 9pm.
