Welcome to todays diary entry! Its funny how you pick up little routines and something that we have never really done before and to be fair its a habit we have picked up from our neighbors. The Fegan’s have started to nurse a semi addiction to the profiteroles at the restaurant at the bottom and me, having never really been a desert person have never really eaten them much as i assumed they would be too sickly with the chocolate cream and the ice cream. Man, where have they been all my life so probably about 2 or 3 times a week now once we have all eaten our main courses we get a Whatsapp which says nothing other than “Profits?” which is the street slang term used for profiteroles. Apparently.
Although annoyingly since the discovery of Profits my weight reduction has now managed to stop declining and is now starting to creep up again. I am still not over 17 stone again and i have still not ran 5k yet but you just wait until i find the right moment to start then there will be no stopping me. We have been sleeping in till about 8am every morning because it is still quite dark here until about 08:15 so when you wake up and look outside expecting it to be about 4am it is actually 07:57 but there is no harm in that because we annoyingly left our black out silver screen back at Northwich so we have not had one since 22nd October.

Honestly though it is as much about stopping the heat as it is is keeping the motorhome dark and like i say with the hours that the sun comes up it is never too much of a worry about the light but the cab area of the motorhome can get really really hot and even with the air con on by the time the air gets to the front of the motorhome it is warm air again. The way the motorhome is positioned on this pitch means that we have our back end to the sun so we dont suffer as much from although i do normally prefer to have the motorhome cab facing the road, we love to people watch.
The silver screen issue was what led us to make the decision to park this way and it has not been too bad we always have the awning window open so if people need us then they can still see that we are free and available to talk. The people are so polite because they just assume we are working all the time. I do wonder where i would park again next year when we get here and i just wonder whether we would aim for our old pitch that we had last year but that was a cold pitch to be fair as the sun is always behind you. The pitch we are is a much hotter pitch. So maybe come over this side but over the other side of the road so we don’t have the sun on us all the time.
