Welcome to todays diary entry! Feels a little bit different this one, we normally are already at the show now and then been setting up all day but this one isn’t set up until the Thursday so we are currently having some food in the local pub near the shop. We have been graced with the Prescence of our illustrious leader who brought his caravan down this morning so we could be out of the traps early doors tomorrow morning. We didn’t get round to doing much packing throughout the shop day. So it was one of those post 5pm picks.
We did do a lot of it yesterday and it is so much easier when you have many hands on the pump and your are all chipping away. We had some help from the warehouse guys as well this evening so we were all picked and packed by 7pm. So that was when we decided to head on up to the Stanley Arms. It is a lovely little pub that right on the canal side and the food is brilliant but one thing is for certain i wont be having the pie again. The pie last time was nice but had mushrooms in it despite there being no prior warnings of there being mushrooms in it. So that ruined it last time.

This time i had the lamb shank and it was absolutely delightful and i wish id have ordered 2 of them. Honestly it was so so so nice, one of the nicest bits of pub food iv had in a while and it was a nice bit of a change from the usual sort of food we have in pubs. I do quite like lamb, last time i had it though was cooked in my air fryer in Morocco but now we have a smaller air fryer i am not sure if it has lamb cooking capacity in it. But i will find a way. The air fryer is the great food equalizer as i would never normally try to cook lamb. Although an air fryer makes it possible to cook anything!
Had a nice evening to be fair i have always been one of those people that loves to talk about work and to be fair i am lucky that Lisa is the same and she could talk about my work for hours as well. But we put the world to rights for a couple of hours and headed back down to the shop and one thing is for sure you can tell winter is coming. After I’d filled the water up and emptied the toilet i got back in the motorhome and threw the diesel heater on. It is becoming increasingly used the heater is and it may soon get to the point where we start putting the electric heater on all night now. It is definitely cooler.
