Welcome to todays diary entry! We had already visited Taroudant so we didn’t feel the need to go back in to the town named mini Marrakesh. One of things we wanted to do when we were here though was to visit the Oasis which we managed to get done today as well. I will talk a little more about that in a bit. One thing I did this morning which i was adamant i was going to because of the trauma of yesterday in the evening was to empty the garage out there was no way I was going to risk there being any more of those spiders in there. Especially as we are sleeping our heads are over the garage area. No thank you.
So this morning I have pulled everything out of the garage and they restacked it all back in, tidied it all out and swept it out. To be honest the spider was the incentive that i needed to do as I wasn’t happy with how it had been packed anyway to be fair so i had put a lot of my cans of beer into the my fridge and changed it all around and to be fair it was the best id seen the garage packed so I was chuffed with that so we settled up and set off to the Oasis and I had never seen an oasis before so I didn’t have much idea of what was in them. In my mind I just thought it was going to be a stream and some tress and some other vegetation

The Oasis was amazing and we did think about swerving it and not going but i am glad we did. There was basically a town in this Oasis and families having picnics scooters going about. Having more experience in Morocco now has prepared us for this sort of thing so we got speaking to a guy on the car park and I knew straight away he was a tour guide so we asked him if he was and how much he charged. We agreed a price and to be fair i am glad we did because I would have had no idea where to go or what to do in there. In Asilah we got stitched up by a tour guide and tried to charge us 800dhm for the tour. We didn’t pay it and i would never fall for that again.
After the Oasis we had the drive towards our next stop which was about 90 minutes away and once we arrived we experienced something that we have never really experienced in Morocco before and that was a bit of a frosty welcome. The guardian wasn’t very pleasant and he didn’t show us around and we didn’t feel particularly welcome which is a shame really because we would have stayed here for a couple of days if it would have felt nicer so we didn’t get chairs out or anything just the chocs and plugged the electric in. This sort of place could be a money making machine if it was ran right and this is the sort of thing i talk about when i say about us getting a campsite of our own in Morocco. I could turn this place around in 1 week. It is such a shame! In terms of the scenery it is the most stunning scenery we have seen on any park up ever.
