Welcome to todays diary entry! Wow, isn’t it cold!! We have spent the whole day pretty much with the diesel heater on. I was so naive before i started travelling about with how warm Spain was or France was in the winter time/ early spring i thought it would be way warmer than what it has been. Oh my god it has been absolutely freezing and for the first time in a few years i can see my breath when i am talking and breathing out when i am outside. Our Outdoor Revolution electric heater we have had since the very first day travelling has finally given up the ghost so at night we don’t have much heat at all so i end up waking up about 4am and chucking the diesel heater on and taking the chill out of the air.

The Beef must be wondering what on earth is going on with all the darkness and the cold. He is not a cold weather child and to be fair the motorhome is not a cold weather motorhome you can just tell that it it doesn’t like it at all. It always sounds labored and like it just doesn’t want to be in the cold. We have not ventured out of the motorhome today for any reason than to get showered and it has just been so so so cold. Although later on in the evening we did go over tot he restaurant and sit in the warm over and have a few drinks.

We spent the evening looking at plots of land in Portugal and looking up how to get residency in Portugal as i believe that is one of the easier places to get temporary residency. I just don’t like the thought of spending winters in the Uk at any point in the future and anything i can do to prevent that then i will. That or Morocco i don’t mind but even Portugal is cold in the winter. I guess it is just a case of seeing what is available and see what the value would be and how we could live there and keep money coming etc.
I think i would rather spend my time in Morocco than Portugal but Portugal would be better than the UK. To be fair i cannot believe how misty and foggy and cold it has been here today and it looks as though this little pocket of sort of mid to mid northern part of Spain is currently locked in a bit of a bubble of really cold air. I don’t think that it is helped by the fact it is pretty high up here. In fact i think here it is colder than in the UK. The excitement of getting back is definitely getting washed down by the fact that it is absolutely freezing.
