Welcome to todays diary entry! Its been an action packed today on the work front with it being the first day open after the New Year and between the managers there is a real excitement about the coming year and i think that will help me with the coming home early as well. Like i said there are a few reasons that will make it easier for us this time than probably any other time. But by doing now it will hopefully mean that we wont need to do this again and we can do November till April quite happily knowing that everything is running to plan back at home.

We did another walk today and i managed to go a bit further so i managed to do 6 or 7km today whilst Mum sat at the park with him. With it feeling like it had been quite hot this year we were looking back at pictures recently and some of the walks we would take him on he was wrapped up in a coat and a wooly hat and we couldn’t understand but these last few days we have definitely been in that position again. Although it does seem to have creeped up on us. It does appear as thought we are in a bit of a cold snap for here anyways with high teens instead of low 20s.

It feels good to have the shop back up and running been a little lonely being the only one working over the festive period but being fortunate to do what we do we have to take the rough with the smooth. Although there isn’t really the expectation that i would work over Christmas i always make sure that i am on hand i suppose that is one of the reasons why we have had a pretty good Christmas as not many places have the ability to have someone doing the ecommerce side of things. I guess it may be different if we were at home in the UK.
But once again i guess that is the reason why we me and the Dodge are so similar as there has been several times we have spoken and talked about work over that time and i know that he has spent a lot of it at his laptop as well. So just to clarify a previous statement, i am not the only person who has worked over the festive period but i am the only shop person who has been selling stuff he has been doing things which are considerably more important than what i have been doing. So it is now full steam ahead and fully focused on the season ahead! Although i ended up staying awake till gone 11 tonight as me and Mum watched the semi final of the darts. Man, i just the darts!
