Welcome to todays diary entry! Although we mentioned it recently it got watered down with the April fools as people thought it was part of that but it wasn’t. We have booked the ferry back to the UK. We were torn between staying in Salou for an extra week after here or getting an earlier ferry and having a few nights in Cofton on the way through. WE have dropped on though as we would normally go from Portsmouth to Cofton which is a bit of a pain to drive instead we are sailing to Plymouth. This is especially good because the ferry time is much shorter. It is less than 24 hours on the boat so it makes it much easier to stomach (literally as well i hope).
The worst part is obviously the bay of Biscay but at least your on solid ground faster. Another mistake i wont be making this time is i am not taking any chances and i am buying the strongest anti sea sick tablets money can buy and i will be adequately dosing up. I just cannot risk feeling like how i felt last time. Another saving grace is that once we get off in Plymouth we only have about an hours drive to Cofton Holidays before we can park up again. If you remember October we drove for a whole day from Santander to Seville.

So, in true Richard Skelton fashion, the count down has started and this time in 2 weeks we will be in Devon. In our UK happy place. I think one of the things that gee’d us up was the thought of having UK children’s entertainment and seeing how much he has changed since we were there in the beginning of October before the NEC. I am certainly not looking forward to paying £6 a pint again though but i am trying to be on a bit of a health kick i even went into the bar/ restaurant tonight and had 2 coke zeros. It is so cheap and widely accessible that i have probably overdone it last few weeks and i went on the scales yesterday to shock myself in doing something about it.
We ordered some bits for the Beef off Amazon in the last couple of days because we wanted a mini wet suit for him for the swimming pools and when we go away in the UK in the summer, and a floating vest and some arm bands to help him so we were planning on taking him to the indoor pool this evening but he is having a 3 hour sleep in the day currently which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but if he goes down at 13:30 and doesn’t wake up till 16:30, by the time he has something to eat it is gone 17:00 so doesn’t leave a lot of time in the afternoon to do stuff so by the time we got to the indoor pool which is open until 8pm that was fully booked. So the only option was to get in the outdoor pool which was freezing and you could him and his Mum grimace when they got in as it wasn’t really very warm outside. Probably not warm enough to be in the pool but because we had come this whole way he was definitely going swimming.
