Diary Entry – 01st June 2024

Welcome to todays diary entry! There may be trouble at mill, I am not quite feeling myself today and although it is no secret that i like to have a nap today i have had 2 sleeps one after breakfast and one after dinner. It is quite a common joke in my family about my ability to have a sleep almost anywhere anytime but this is different this is rather than being because i can have a sleep i am just feeling incredibly tired. I assume it is because i have worked so hard over the last month that my body is just trying to catch up.

Normally at these things it is because i had a skinful of beers the night before but i had very very few drinks in fact i think i had 2 bottles of Desperados and that was it but today i just cannot shift the fatigue. In the early afternoon we had a really nice walk around the show and did some pottering around and bought some cool Vanlife related clothes and a big bag of sweets. Sweets and especially fizzy sweets are an absolute vice of mine. I just love them.

There is a bit of a problem with my solar panels as well, when we used the inverter yesterday with the air fryer it was fine but after all of a sudden the controller stopped recording that there was any solar being recorded to the batteries. I have absolutely no idea why but fortunately there was hook up behind me and i had brought one of the ladies here some gas hose and she let me use my splitter and plug into the same electric as her. This was a god send for 2 reasons, firstly it meant we could charge the batteries up secondly it was hot today so Mum was moaning about the heat so she wanted to have the air con on.

Although we have had the challenge with the solar panels I am feeling in a much better place and what I have noticed is that the depression and anxiety in me isn’t half multiplied by drinking. I really wish i was brave enough and strong enough to go T total but I just don’t think i could do it. I may try and set myself a target a little later on in the year to do 100 days without beer and try and have like a 100 day health kick to see if i can really try and shift some of this fat. It cannot be good on my joints and my bones. I think to set myself a target of 100 days is a little more manageable and achievable than just saying forever.
