Welcome to todays diary entry! When they say there is no rest for the wicked they were definitely talking about us and the show team at A and E Leisure so if if imagine that we finished packing up at 10pm last night, got to work this morning at 7:40 straight from the show and then i opted to start 1 hour later this morning just so i could get motorhome filled up with water etc. Then one of the biggest projects of the year starts which is the Camper Jam pick list gets emailed ot me and then we have 48 hours to get everything we need for one of the 2 biggest shows.
To be honest Camper Jam is probably our biggest show of the year and i had positioned myself as organiser/ supervisor/ over see’er/ enforcer of the prep of this show. The amount of work that the Dodge and Gina/ Jen (don’t ask) do for almost 18 hours a day for the shop so it was intention to be the wing man and get it done with as little stress as possible for those guys so i took on the responsibility of making sure it all goes right. The problem is trying to pick anything on a Monday is almost impossible as it is the warehouse’s busiest day so they have so much to pick for themselves. I am always guilty of assuming my stuff is the most important but on a Monday warehouse is king.

I couldn’t and didn’t want to do too much until the Luton van that we hired got here so at least i had somewhere to put some of the stuff one i had picked it. But i had a couple of pallets in all of the warehouses with some stuff loaded up. I decided to stop picking at about 4pm though as i had pretty much done all that i could for the day. It is my absolute ambition to get everything done for tomorrow so Wednesday morning is a roll away job first thing. I don’t see a reason as to why that cannot happen but something always comes up.
We are 1 show down at least now so before we know it it will be Camper Jam over and done with and we will be on the home straight then. With just Nottingham left in this bank of back to back to back shows. I am feeling ok in myself though although i have failed in my no drinking for July already as i had a little can of beer at about 7pm. A long with a pizza, we normally have a pizza on the Sunday after a show but with us not getting back until this morning we postponed until tonight.
