Welcome to todays diary entry! Wow thank god we can finally see the back of January. It always seems to feel like it has about 63 days in it! It is awful but hopefully now that is out of the way we should start to see a little bit more daylight. The morning here has been beautiful and there isn’t (currently) a cloud in the sky and the sun rises from just at the side of the Rock of Gibraltar. The rock is just one of those places that never ceases to amaze me and the way i which we drove to it was different to the way we normally come but the view of the rock was even more incredible.

I woke up about 06:00 and because the Beef was in our bed i decided to get up and make the front of the motorhome so i could get the laptop out. It was last day of the month, so that along with it being payday should mean i was in for a good day and although it was good probably wasn’t quite as good as i was hoping. Never the less we have had a record breaking month with our awning sales so that has been a great achievement especially with it being a January. That hopefully means only great things for the coming year. I don’t like to get too excited as there is many a sip of tea spilt between lip and cup and anything can happen. The initial signs, the green shoots are looking promising.

We took a couple of hours off this morning so we could walk into the town. I wanted to get a pay as you go sim card with some data on it as i was getting close to the limit i can use in Europe before they start trying to charge a fortune. On the way back there was little market and we stopped and got some bits and the stark realization of how expensive it is here compared to Morocco was a real kipper slap across the face. We paid £4 for 4 oranges and 4 apples and in Morocco you are probably looking at about £1 for that. We then bought 2 chicken breasts which cost me £6 for 2 whereas my chicken guy in Tamraght would have charged me £6 for 6 chicken breasts. One of those things i am just going to have to reacclimatize myself to.
We bought some bread as well from town and i treated myself to a sausage baguette with red sauce with the sausages id brought from Gib and they were lovely. Oh how i have missed them! We then just relaxed for the remainder of the day whilst i stayed on live chat in case any customers came through but it was a very relaxed day. I was speaking to the Dodge earlier and i realised that this time next week i will be back in the shop. Just sitting there thinking about how fast 4 months has gone and where that time has gone is a bit scary really.
