Welcome to todays diary entry! Friday night darts club! What a night!! We hosted it round ours as we have the awning up so it just offers a bit more protection fro the bit of a chill that there can be sometimes. We also hooked my laptop monitor up as well so that meant that rather than being crouched around a iPad screen or whatever it meant that we could have a decent size screen to watch it on. Then cam our first problem. The monitor didn’t have speakers so we had the firestick connected to the monitor but no sound. Then the wife remembered that you can link up the firestick via Bluetooth to a speaker so all of sudden we had sound now as well. It was a brilliant set up. Wasn’t quite Ally Pally but as close as we could get to it in Morocco Luke Littler a 17 year old won which when you think about someone being the best at something in the world at the age of 17. Incredible that

I had the heater by the screen so if it did get a bit cold then we could put that on. One thing is for sure though this awning is one hell of a piece of kit and even though it is cooler at the night time this does a lot to keep you warm. It will have seen a bit of sun so there will inevitably be a little bit of fading and to be fair if id have thought about it id have brought a solar shade to protect the top and to keep the heat off but i never thought. It is without doubt in my opinion the best drive away awning on the market and i am so glad we bought this with us. We always talk about learning for next time and we do often think what will we do differently nexy. Whether we would bring the drive away awning or whether we would have a pop up gazebo and a safari room.

Or even if we would bring the drive away awning and instead not bring the panels and us this as a gazebo type set up and then have a wind break to contain a wild 3 year old child as he will be in October when we return. One thing is for certain i will be facing the other way i have not enjoyed facing the back wall and if i get chance in the coming weeks i am going to turn the motorhome around and face the road. This is the first time that we have not faced forwards and i dont like it, we love seeing what is going on and being nosey.
If i had to make the decision today id be bringing the drive away awning, facing the motorhome forwards and then perhaps not zipping all the panels up and then having a wind break. One thing that i have never seen before on any campsite is people putting small electric fences around there pitches and i am not sure whether that is to keep there dogs in or cats out but they literally have 1 foot high electric fences. It is absolutely mental, i will take a picture of one in the coming days so you can see it. Sometimes you forget it is there and can just here it ticking as it pulses electric through it. Very surreal.
