Welcome to todays diary entry! Lisa had a day off work today and testament to her is that she has still worked as hard since she got the news on Monday as she always has and to be able to do that shows incredible character. It was really really warm so we got the old paddling pool up and filled it up. There is just something about water and paddling pools and water balloons that kids just love and he is absolutely no different. Whether he stands on the outside and throws stuff in or fills his bucket and then tips it back in he just loves it. We sat outside for a large portion of the afternoon and just watched him play.

As the Fegan’s were out the conversation soon shifted to Christmas with it being one week until the big day. We had thought about going down the restaurant at the bottom but the menu looked a bit crap and is obviously heavily influenced by the French so it had things like sea bass on it and anyone who knows me knows that my fish repertoire goes about as far as birds eye fish fingers so it was a huge no from me. The Feegs were not impressed by it either fortunately and at 480dhm it was a no from us and it was a no from them. There was not a sprout on that menu so fortunately it was a unanimous decision to swerve it and instead we are going to cook it amongst ourselves.

Split the cooking splitting the bill and instead having a proper proper Christmas dinner and to be fair i am really REALLY looking forward to it now. The plan so far is to have a Christmas breakfast with some fizz. We have been to the pork man in the village and secured some sausages and bacon and we will have a Xmas breakfast and even better than that we have also found 2 stray cans of spaghetti which means i can have that with my breakfast! #Win. Then i think i would like to go onto the beach and take him in the sea for a little while and have a few hours down there and then come back up to start cooking christmas dinner.
We will split if 50/50 and we will do a piece of beef and they will do a turkey crown. I am pretty certain that we can get all the veg we need here and i have seen everything from sprouts to broccoli to cauliflower etc so we wont be without anything. This is also where a bit of prior planning comes into play so we have even bought some chicken gravy and some paxo sage and onion stuffing so we have the other bits of essentials. I seen that Carol Anne had some cauliflower cheese the other day and that has been playing on my mind. I just love Christmas and some of my best childhood memories were at Christmas. My Mum always went way above and beyond and moved heaven and earth to make sure we had everything that we wanted.
