Welcome to todays diary entry! I slept terribly last night this was partly due to me falling asleep at 20:00 and then waking up annoyingly at 21:50 and then i couldn’t get back to sleep until after 1:30am so I am not looking forward to tomorrow. Although at about 8pm we received the dreaded knock on the side of the motorhome. Me being in bed at this time did the manly thing and sent my wife to find out who it was. It just happened to be one of our Morocco favorites and someone who has been full time for over 8 years now.

It was Naim and he brought us a little present. He hand delivered a Fray Bentos Chicken Curry Pie. I don’t know how or why it seems to be a bit of a thing now and everyone seems to give me them. Please don’t stop doing so as they are one of my favorite things in the whole wide world and we brought a handful from the UK ourselves and then the Dodge and Gina (Jen, don’t ask) gave us a goodbye hamper with some of our best treats in it as well. But having been away since the 22nd October as you can imagine 7 or 8 Frey Bentos pies don’t last very long at all.

I am a sucker for a pie and i have been taking bread to a van down the road from another couple of our friends and the trade off for the bread is a meat pie. Or a meat and potato pie so i believe that is a fair trade and food like pies when you are in Morocco is a commodity so it has a value attributed to it. In a place where everything is for sale then if 10 x baguettes equates to a pie then so be it. A bargain at twice the price! It is always so nice to see so many of the same people here again this time.
I enjoy seeing the some of the British folk as much as some of the Moroccans that we see here. We popped a long to have a look at one of the chalets on the campsite that was for sale. It was really nice to see it inside and you then start planning how you could maximise your time out here and how you could get around some of the rules like only having vehicle in here for 6 months per calendar year so maybe you would fly out for a month or so first then fly back and get your motorhome and then drive that out here and then still sleep in your chalet. It was very nice inside. It was like a tardis and was so much larger inside than outside. The thing is you would leave clothes here and then travel with clothes and leave most of your stuff here and just use the motrohome in the winter to drive around.
