Welcome to todays diary entry! As we so often do i love to look back to where we were 12 months ago and nothing surprises me more than how much this lad has come on. This time last year he was just being able to stand up and crawl and support himself up against something like on this in the picture below. This was in the Marjane exactly 12 months ago today and if you look at him now he doesn’t need a dummy anymore he can walk, run badly and do a bit of talking. It is just so scary. You instantly wonder what will be new in 12 months time again.
By the time we leave here in 4 or 5 months he will have spent half of his life in Morocco and probably will have spent more time in Morocco than he has in any other country. Which is probably why he is such a nice boy. Again, a large portion of that will have been in a little corner of heaven here in Tamrahkt. It still never ceases to amaze me people on the internet who for some reason seem to belittle our experiences or don’t think we should qualify to answer questions on Morocco given our love for this place. I have my reasons as to why that may be but it is not for me to put words in other peoples mouths.

We have never ever professed to know it all, know everything and everything we talk about is based on our own personal experiences and i quoted last year i believe that for some people “unless you have hand delivered a camel on the top of the atlas mountains and raised it as your own” your thoughts on Morocco dont qualify but i am getting better at ignoring them now although sometimes the red rage overtakes me. I think that is mainly down to the fact that we have never commented on anyone elses lifestyle choices, whether they want to do x,y or z. We just love the place and want to share our experiences of it.
You will never be able to please everyone and i do think that there are more knob heads on the internet now than ever before. That may be just my opinion but i don’t get the mentality. The keyboard warrior thing, they wouldn’t say any of those things in passing you on the street and its a little bit like the psychology of road rage that people feel safe as they are behind a screen or inside a metal frame to think that they can say or do what ever they want.
