Welcome to todays diary entry! One of the great things i love about Morocco and especially being on this campsite is just how it brings people together. We knew that some friends we made last time were on there way and would be here soon but we got suprised by them yesterday morning as they had gotten here a couple of days early. We met Mal and Elaine on Coronation Street last year and several nights a week we would go round there motorhome with our chairs and sit and have a drink with them and all the other English folk on that row. That was always one of the things about getting a little campsite over here because Morocco just seems to bring everyone together and creates an incredible sense of community.
That was such a memorable time we had down there until they left and to be honest Coronation Street never really recovered from leaving which was testament to how influential they were to the community that time. They headed east and made there way to the desert when they left middle of January which sort of inspired us to drive there given how much they raved about it. Anyway, i digress. They appeared a couple of days early and we had already said to the Brookes and Fegans that we were going to do a curry so we thought be nice if they ahve only just got here to invite Mal and Elaine.

They got round here for about 4pm and literally within about 3 or 4 minutes you were talking like you had never been away and trading summer stories etc. They are such such nice people and when we talk about our kind of people they are definitely it. We seem to have a better time with slightly older people which is relatively lucky given the fact that there are not many people our age doing what we do. So just like that Mal was around telling his rubbish jokes, well, i think they are hilarious but most other people think they are proper rubbish Dad jokes.
We made our usual curry from the recipe we stoke from Ness and Gee and this time i didn’t put any extra hot spice in it because Kel doesn’t really like too hot a curry so it was a bit like a chicken tikka masala but Kel made some rice, onion salad which went down a treat and we did some home made air fryer chips which were pretty good as well. As usual i went in early but wasn’t so much being tired or having a lot to drink its more that Rory kept asking me to go to cozy corner with him and i couldn’t keep saying no to him so went and sat inside with him.
