Welcome to todays diary entry! I had a cunning plan today and i though to try and tire the Beef out i am going to take him on the beach and then let him run where ever he wants to. The beach here is absolutely huge and it is wider than a couple of football pitches and is about 5km in length so he had free reign. As long as it wasn’t towards the sea then the world (beach) was his oyster! So we got down there quite early so it didn’t get too hot and we just walked with him whilst he had the time of his life. He would run a bit, then crouch down grab a hand full of sand then he would run off with it in his hands until it had fallen out.
He would then repeat the process, over and over and over again. He would then sit down and we would draw shapes and he would repeat the shapes. He got to see some camels up close and i am really looking forward to spending loads of time with him on that beach. Although it is a bit of a challenging parenting phase we are in at the moment and i think we are in the terrible 2’s. He is just getting quite frustrated with not getting his own way and if it is something he doesn’t quite like he just seems to shout “hey” and it is now getting quite frustrating. I think it is partly because we have had literally a perfect child up until this point and the moment he slightly dips away from perfect you feel it more than if he had of been a challenge his life.

We must have spent about 90 minutes on the beach and even though we didn’t walk our usual 5k stretch we must have walked a similar distance but this time it wasn’t in a straight line it was forwards backwards to the side, to the sea front away from the sea. The main concern was that he didn’t seem to be particularly tired and i felt absolutely shattered so we decided to make our way back to the motorhome and because he had been in the sea and on the sand he was sandy as anything. Because he didn’t want to come back i then had to pick him up and he was wet and sandy which then made me wet and sandy.
If there is one thing i don’t like it is being sandy. As well i didn’t want to shower here then in the motorhome because i was worried about about getting sand in the pipes and then blocking them up especially with this being the first time that i had set up a grey water run off so i used the facilities. Since i have had the shower floor fixed i just thoroughly enjoy having a shower in my own motorhome. We spent so much time without the shower tray leaking that the novelty still hasn’t warn off. It was just such a pleasant day and was one of the reason why i have worked my fingers ot the bone this summer to try and be able to have as much free time with the Beef as possible.
In a nutshell the only person that got tired out today was me. I was the one who had to have an afternoon sleep. I think tiring him out is going to be harder than we think.
