Welcome to todays diary entry! Today waking i can start to feel a little bit of a cold on the horizon. I don’t know what it is, it isn’t full blown but it feels like i am a bit run down. I have an ulcer at the back of my mouth which always annoy me incredibly. I feel a little fuzzy in the head and have a bit of a sore throat. Like i say it is not fully blown man flu but feels like i have something on the way. My chest sounds a bit rattlery as well like i have a bad chest on the way. I know pretty much everyone back home at the moment feels ill with something.
Even the Dodge and Gina (Jen) don’t ask are both ill and they have been ill now for what must be about 3 weeks now and it isn’t Covid because they had that about a month ago so it must be something else or a continuation of the Covid. For them to actually talk about being ill, openly means that they must be really ill. The first couple of hours were a right off really just chilled out and relaxed then after that i thought i am going to try and take task to the door to see what we are going to do. My plan for safety to lock the door shut so no ins or outs but means we cannot get burgled or robbed whilst we are out and about.

The other guys made the decision to make a move further south and to be fair i didn’t blame them considering we were still quite far north they decided to try and make a dent in it so they could get a bit of a head start. We had a couple of hours looking on the internet to try and see what our options were going to be tomorrow in terms of ordering a part i wanted to try and have 3 or 4 options ready to go so as soon as places start to open then we could get in touch with them all as quickly as possible to sort something out.
It was around about 2pm that i thought we would be much much better getting off ourselves and getting a couple of hours under our belt. We decided that there wasnt any point in staying really as unless we were going to sit in Salamanca for the part then we may as well make our way down. Worse case scenario we knew we could get the part for Thursday and we had messaged Carlos the Morocco ticket guy and asked him if we could get it delivered there. That was in Algeciras so that is where we are getting the ferry from anyway. It just makes it a little bit more tricky now with getting to Gib on the Friday because it could get delivered anytime. I suppose what we may end up doing is driving to Gib for Friday and then getting back to Algeciras on Saturday.
So we loaded the van and made our way to Merida as that was where the other guys were. We were greeted with torches to guide us in and they had the BBQ stuff all set up so the only thing for is was to dust out the new Outdoor Revolution Lumi lights and hang them from trees and we were treated to another music quiz by Kel but to be fair i was absolutely knackered so i called it early and took Beef home and got him ready for bed. It has been a stressful few days.
