Welcome to todays diary entry! The reason we were so keen to get to Salamanca last night and driving in the dark which i tend to not do if i can avoid it. Even in Spain was we wanted to get to Camping Don Quiote as they had a bit of a night on for Halloween. They take it very very seriously here and as it is a Campsite that we know it was a no brainer and i didn’t want to be ding loads of driving in the morning so we had the full day here to relax and chill out. We still have quite a bit of driving to do as we are only about 1/4 of the way down even in Salamanca.
Our new friends who are on the convoy have been here since they left Santander so we did try and find where they were parked but we couldn’t find them so we found somewhere to park and from our previous experience here and knowing where the Wi-Fi does and doesn’t work so we moved after we had already parked up. The trees over head meant that Starlink wasn’t an option. To be fair we were not planning on renewing it now we were away but we may have forgot cancel the subscription so that took £96 off us that we were not expecting to have to pay,

When we set up the convoy the people we have met so far are exactly our sort of people. The guy reminds me so much of my step Dad which is nice and i cannot remember if we mentioned it before but they bought us a little hamper that had some lovely Cornish short bread in it along with some tea. We didn’t bring tea bags and we joke with a woman who travels to Morocco who sold us 480 Yorkshire Tea bags in Morocco last year and she often comments a lot on our posts and always references the tea bags so when i tell her we forgot them she will laugh her head off.
We had an absolute blast this evening with Amanda and Kel and after several drinks and some lovely food. If you ever get chance to get to this campsite the food is absolutely excellent and Salamanca in itself is absolute lovely as well. One of Lisa’s favorite thing when leaving here is big plane on the round about. We think we are going to have a couple of days here before we look to move on. The weather here is due to be nice for the next few days so may as well set up for a day or so to take advantage of that and to let stuff settle down in further south where it has been quite wet.
