Welcome to todays diary entry! Waking up and topping up on anti sickness tablets was the name of the game this morning, i had taken some last time i was awake but i wanted to make sure that i was going to not leave myself short coming into dock. For those of you that have not done it before coming into Santander is just amazing. There, certainly for me is something magical about it. Especially if you are on the other side as you are standing on the top deck literally making eye contact with the people sitting on the beach. This is our 3rd time into Santander now and every time i think to myself how are we getting up this little gulley and being so close to the shore line.
I’m not saying it is close but you could throw a tennis ball onto the beach from the deck. If you ever get chance to do that route you must see it in the daylight, it is quite simply, stunning. I felt like we had all the luck in the world as well as we were near the front of the boat so would be one of the first ones off, we were also going to be able to drive off in a straight line rather than being tight to a wall and having to gingerly edge because you cannot pull full lock on for fear of the back end of the motorhome swinging out and scratching the moho.

The sun was shining and we were straight through passport control but then hit a bit of a blockade of some sort trying to get out of the port which we sat in for about 20 minutes but once again we didn’t mind as it was so nice. Our park up was only about 15 minute drive away form the port so to be able ot get here so quickly and then to be able to get setup, gas on, clothes away and be as we would be in Northwich was nice. Only problem was that it was too hot. I am glad that we got round to getting a new turbo vent fitted as that should make a huge difference in how much fresh air we can get in and circulating.
This was it, one thing we were now going to be able to monitor properly is how our solar holds up in Europe. This was one of the places we sat at last time talked about how much solar and getting decent solar could improve our experience of being out here so we will be able to see if we planned it right and if it is enough to see us through. To be honest i am not planning on using a campsite until we get in to Morocco so using only really and if an Aire maybe has electric maybe put the electric on for a little while just top top everything up. I also am really looking forward to using our new power bank as well. That should be able to give us an extra boost if and when we need it.
