Welcome to todays diary entry! I have absolutely loved these last few days and especially today where i have been allowed to potter about as i took the day off so this was at my leisure but it was still non stop and i must have filmed somewhere in the region of 30+ awnings. Even better than that i came away with an awning to take back to Morocco which has been kindly provided to us to see what we think and to put it through its paces. I will go into that a little bit later on.
To be fair we have always been so lucky to work here and then that by default has allowed us to meet people in the industry and at manufacturers but these people then become your pals and then you spend your time with them at shows and stuff like that. So we are eternally grateful to the Dodge for the opportunity to work in this industry and eternally grateful to the people we meet along the way. Especially now as shop caretaker manager as i carry an element of importance so people actually want to speak to me as well now. Which is nice 😉

I started the day going through the Camptech stuff as they were about to put up there new roof tent and i wanted to see it in action and see what it looked like going up and i think they are so cool but then again the Dometic i seen was also extremely cool as well. The only problem with these trade shows is i want them all. I want to win the lottery and but them all and put them in a big field and flit between one and the other but the new Dometic stuff is really nice as is the new caravan stuff from Outdoor Revolution. Stunning in fact. Stunning enough to make me want a caravan again.
I think we ended leaving Dometic about 6pm and had to endure the M40, M42 and the M6 which is probably the worst series of roads i have ever lay my eyes on, they are truly and absolute disgrace. Although what didn’t help was the fact i was so excited to get back because we had some stuff delivered whilst we were away namely the new mattress, new power bank, new buggy and a new bed for the Beef as we have decided to migrate him back from the back of the bed to the front again courtesy of a Cabbunk. And boy that mattress is without doubt the best thing we have ever bought. Simply stunning.
