Welcome to todays diary entry! It has been a very busy day today even though the shop isn’t open but over the last few weeks we have been working behind the scenes to bring another dimension to our awning sales game. It is no secret that i would like to work less and to get the awning sales into a position that it can pay for everything we do whilst we are pottering about. In an ideal situation that will fund my family but certainly in the mean time with what we have going out it isn’t possible to get there just yet. We had an idea a few months ago and since then i have been working away to try and get us into a position where we could do it.
So we trying to make sure that social media plays a huge part in our sales in the future and we plan on doing that by being really active in a lot of the groups. So i spent a massive part of the day going through Facebook groups making sure we were in the best ones and just being really visible so if anyone was looking for an awning or looking for a tent i would be there to see the comment. So Sunday was a bit of a test run to see how that could possibly work it is still a work in progress but it is definitely moving in the right direction and who knows, with a bit of luck in 12 months time we can reduce our outgoings by 75% and then we can travel around full time and not have to do the whole 9 – 5 thing.

That was always our plan and i guess when something happens to my Mum (hopefully not for many many years) we will probably maybe not come back for a couple of years and just go from Schengen to non Schengen for 12 months. I really want to go far far east and get into the Balkans and see places like Bosnia and Turkey but with my love of Morocco taking up currently 6 months of the winter, Turkey would be to hot in the summer. I also want to go really far north and take the Beef and the Moho into the artic circle.
I suppose i could just win the lottery but by the time i have won it and then bought some land for a campsite in Morocco and then bought some land on the NC500 route for an aire there may not be much left after that. I suppose really i should enter the lottery first in order to try and win. Although something good is coming, the dodge is off From Wednesday so that means I will be in charge of the shop properly, he is normally in the shop so likes to try and get involved but for the next 2 weeks it is my shop. 3 nights until the 2 week Rich Skelton takeover.
