Diary Entry – 23rd July 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! It is quite surreal just how quickly time goes when you are off work and how your body recovers when you aren’t working. That has never ever been more apparent than it is today. So i have been off for about 5 days and i have really really struggled to get back into the swing of it today and although extremely tired and being in autopilot but i had the momentum where as today i was absolutely all over the place. I spent probably the first hour of the day just looking the pick list for Dubbed Out. Then walking to a warehouse and then re looking at the paper.

Semi Packed Vouis Luton

When i think that i picked and packed for Camper Jam pretty much on my own without any help and about 8 or 9 hours it took me about 12 hours today and i had a lot of post 5pm help from the warehouse guys as well. This will be our 4th show in 5 weekends and i think i would have preferred 4 in 4 or have the single one early on not at the end so i didn’t feels as lethargic as i do today. I think by the time i had finished it was gone 10pm and the alarm set for 6am. I cannot wait to get it out of the way as we are on our big family holiday the following week (early August).

Feels weird but the we have actually got away quite a bit over the last couple of months with that week in Devon and then the 5 days in Scotland but they seem so long ago and i think to have 10 days away in 1 place will be really really nice. We love Newquay as well so will be good to get back down there for a week. We have a couple fo nights in North Devon first then onto Hendra. I have not seen my Dad in a little over 12 months so we are going to have a couple of nights in New Quay on the way home as he has a static there.

But before we can get fired up and excited just the small matter of one of our largest shows of the year to contend with at the Cheshire Show ground as we get ready for another Dubbed Out. Hopefully after a busy day today should get my body back in the swing of things again and hopefully we can have a really good show. The weather looks ot be on our side again with only a few showers but we know what this country is like and there could be torrential down pours at any time!
