Welcome to todays diary entry! Today was my turn to be feeling a little bit under the weather. As i was feeling in a great mood form the previous early night i was eager to let my hair down a little bit so i ended up staying up late last night. What is funny is that i already have one eye on pack down tomorrow and there was rumor’s that we are getting a replenishment of stock being brought up by Outdoor Revolution as well seem to have made a huge dent in the stuff that we had bought.
Even at Tribs we contemplated doing one final restock but in the end we decided to just sell through everything and try and take as little back as we can rather than bringing a full van load up and then only selling half of it and taking double back. It transpired in the end that no one from Outdoor Revolution was free to bring more stock so it was now a case of operation sell everything that isn’t nailed down. We are having a great show and potentially looking at a record breaking show which would trump our best ever show last year.

Even though i cannot control the flow of people and essentially what sells i am still taking an immense pride in the work i have done to assist in the organiser and packing of the show and it does keep getting mentioned that actually it has been the Dodges favorite show and the fact that he is so settled knowing that someone (mostly been me) keeping boots on the ground and getting stuff moving and being done has allowed him to enjoy himself more at the show and concentrate on the things that he does best which is to find ways for us to sell more.
I have always tried to be a wing man and always tried to be Goose to Maverick and given the height difference between me and the Dodge the Goose Maverick analogy is actually very apt as i am a little bit taller than him. The fact that the show is running well, selling plenty, everyone seems relaxed and calm is exactly what i intended it to be like. Especially with Gina/ Jen (don’t ask) being here as well it has been nice for everyone to be relaxed. These shows can be extremely high intensity, high pressure and there is always the potential for that to spill over but not this one which is great to hear.
