Welcome to todays diary entry! I did it! The whole van is packed and we are ready to go! I didn’t finish packing until 10pm last night but it is complete and i think it is probably the first time we have ever been set up before hand and ready to go on the Tuesday. It has taken a lot of work but i think that it i will definitely help with the stress levels in the morning knowing that it is only the flair bits and the finesse bits that you can only do on that final walk around in the morning before we set off.
I started this morning though at about 7am ish and by the time i finished i had done 15 hours, tomorrow and set up day is always a heavy duty day with lots of manual labour but one you are there you cannot get away from it especially when it is managed by Dodge and Benn from Outdoor Revolution has a big input as well and as i have often talked about he is a really tough task master but hopefully getting a head today means a stress free morning. We were greeted by Benn at the shop this afternoon as he decided to stay outside next to us.

He can be a bit of a bull in China shop and when he turned up in his caravan there was carnage for about 6 minutes as he drove on and then turned around and tried to navigate his way around, he is often quite an erratic driver and there were people wondering who on earth it was. It was one of the more Benn things i have seen but over the years we have seen a few Benn things so you do become a bit immune to them.
I am hoping to set off early doors tomorrow before any M6 traffic can build up and ideally get there at a time when i can then have half and hour with my eyes closed on the bed and to hopefully get a little bit of time before the chaos ensues. That is in theory but any plans never survives first contact with the enemy so we will see. Normally us guys from A and E don’t arrive until 11ish or 12ish so hopefully if we can get wheels turning for about 7am then get there for 8ish there should be loads of time for us to get some rest. Well like i say that is my plan at the moment. I am still tired from the weekend just gone so at some point i am going to have to try and catch up on some sleep.
