Welcome to todays diary entry! The Beef seems to have this knack of knowing just about when me and his Mum are at our limits of fatigue and thank god that he had a much better night last night. We were in bed anyway at about 21:00 and i think he stirred briefly for about 30 seconds or so and then slept straight through. I was awake before he was and i was awake on my own accord at about 06:20 so i couldn’t tell you how relieved I was to finally get a much much better sleep under my belt.
The shop has been tough going this week as well which do make it important to make sure i am rested up properly. There has been a lad who has been off for today as he has suffered a bereavement so there is the same amount of work but with less people. Especially in this week as well as everyone is trying to cram through there orders and the things they want from us in time ready for the BH weekend which is this weekend coming. It get so busy in the run up with people chasing there deliveries and wondering if they can still get stuff in time. Today was probably the last chance that they would have to get everything by the weekend so hopefully it should be a little quieter on the phone lines tomorrow and Friday.

The last week of the month is always a busier period naturally anyway as people are just starting to get paid from work and things so next week i envisage will be a busy week as well. Although it is only really a 2 day week for me as i am off to VLF ’24 on Wednesday night/ Thursday morning. The doors open at 12 so we may try and find a pub stop over nearby and then then stay close and then try to get there early door. The gates open at 12 but apparently in previous years they have queued up an hour or so before so i think if we aim to get there for 12 o’clock then it will be ques galore so i am planning on getting thee for about 1pm to give the initial rush time to die down.
I have mentioned previously that i will be looking forward to having some proper time with Mum and the Beef i feel like i have done nothing since we got back than work, which is real normal life i guess but i am fortunate to have the incentive of many months in Morocco for the winter. So every day that i am tired or a bit down i just remind myself that the harder i work in the summer the more of the winter i can try and relax and not work so hard. Although that can be easier said than done at the moment.
