Welcome to todays diary entry! Oh my god what a hell of a long day that was i am absolutely knackered now. Literally falling on my feet and i couldn’t wait to get into bed. I was that tired i didn’t even stop up and have a couple of beers, to be honest no one did. I have never known us get so much done in a day before we have literally set most of the show between 3 of us, well 3 and a half because Simon was here for a few hours. We have put all the tents up and some of those tents are enormous. Before i get into the details of that let me start right from the very beginning and i will take from there.
I had one of those days today when i knew i had an alarm set and i knew we had a busy day so i was awake AGAIN at 04:45 and i couldn’t get back to sleep so instead of just lying there i thought i had better get up and get the shop opened and start getting stuff picked. So from 5am until 9am i was picking all the stuff we were looking to take with us. In hindsight it was definitely the right thing to do as in the end we left HQ at the time we planned so i can only imagine if i had of gotten up later than what i did.

We left at about 11am and had to nip to another one of our warehouses to pick up some more stock that we wanted to take so we nipped in there and picked up 3 tents and 4 porch doors and that is it we were off! We had been on the road for about 5 minutes until the Dodge rang and said “are we going for a Maccies?” So within 5 minutes of being on the road we were in Sandbach services getting some food. I had a chicken big Mac which was very very nice and the first time I had since being back.
We got to Nottingham about 14:00pm and in from that time until we finished at about 21:00 we had put up 7 tents, 3 marquees, 7 drive away awnings. All of this with a bad back as well but i managed to get through it. What hasnt helped is the fact that i have had a couple of nights with a really poor sleep. SO hoping that with such a busy day and with lots of hard work i can get out of the bad sleep routine because boy do i need it. I only had 2 or 3 beers all day and finished the night off in rock and roll style with a hot chocolate.
