Diary Entry – 29th March 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! We decided a few days ago that we were not going to have a drink until we got back to the UK, that was unless 4 things all happened in which case we said that we would celebrate and have a couple of drinks and some food down at the front. So i will start at the beginning we were hoping to get paid early which we were delighted that happened so that was the first hurdle and fortunately that happened early on in the day so we were off to a good start.

One of our first times at the beach in Tamraght 365 days ago

Next on my list of things to get sorted before i would break my dry April was about a deal i had been working on for a few weeks on a Dometic Residence full caravan awning and the client was going into the shop to have a look at it. They went and bought the awning so all of a sudden i had done 2 of the things on the list. I was safe though because another one of the things on the list was for Stoke to win away from home against high flying Hull. Stoke have been very poor this season and have disappointed me on several occasions.

Sometimes you just get a feeling, some call it destiny some call it gut instinct but i just had a funny feeling that today was going to be one of those days where everything went our way. Stoke looked abaoslutely brilliant and i would go as far as to say we battered thgem with what looked like a reserve team of ours because the absolute 6 pointer is on Monday against Huddersfield. So that was enough to secure it, so after the football had finished we went on a little walk for 30 minutes walking up and down each row on the campsite to look at peoples motorhomes and awnings etc.

I tell you what, one thing they seem to love out here is a 5th wheel and some of them are absolutely huge and there are loads here. The difference between what you can put on a seasonal pitch here compared to back home is wild. On some of the pitches here there is a 5th wheel, and awning, 2 or 3 gazebos on the pitch as well. So we are not talking about 1 or 2 seasons here this look actually physically dug in permanent fixtures.

I have also seen something else which i have never seen before is a machine that empties and cleans your cassette for you adds in your toilet chemicals as well. It costs £2 but it is an incredible machine. Why we dont have these back in the UK i will never know.
