Diary Entry – 26th March 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! Today was the day we said goodbye to our pals and made our way further up the coast. Let me start right at the beginning, we had an absolutely awful nights sleep. Which is funny really because 99.999999% of the time the Beef is an amazing sleeper. There has been a huge increase in the amount of drool over the last couple of days which means he gets a get out of jail free card as that means it must be his teeth. Those teeth have got a lot to answer for.

First night of Beefs Holiday

He was awake from 03:30 until about 06:00 and we managed to get him back to sleep in the end with some medicine and a lot of work. We managed to get back to sleep as well and we all woke by about 08:30am. We had arranged to go for break with H Mac and Ian just up the road but as we were running late we were a tad late for breakfast. The breakfast though was absolutely amazing and i had sausage and bacon baps and Mum had a full English and the Beef had a bit of everything. Nothing gets you over teething like Biscoff biscuits with beans, sausage and anything else he would eat.

We weren’t sure if we were going to be on the move or not today as we were waiting for contact lenses to be delivered but we got as message to say they were there and ready to collect so with a quick pack up and a quick guided tour of H Macs Moho we said our found farewells with the promise of coming back here again on our way to Morocco again. They also said if we wanted we could use there place if they were not there for a few days etc. There generosity is like nothing i have ever seen before. When i said to them, how good it was of them they said “well i hope that if my kids were doing the same thing, someone would do it for them”. Which is a lovely gesture but i am not sure they would, which again is testament to how lovely they were!

We set off about 1pm and made our way 1 hour north to our home for the next few weeks which is Alannia Resort Costa Blanca. We have decided that we have done plenty of travelling with a night here there and 2 nights here so we wanted to get some roots down and just rest up for a few weeks before we get back to the UK. Travelling about a lot is nice sometimes but every now and then I just think to myself, that’s enough now, that’s plenty. This is a massive site with kids clubs, entertainment and shops on site. If you can imagine a big Cofton in Spain. Being honest the weather has felt a bit like Devon as it has been pretty cold today. Hopefully the weather over the next few days should start to turn and start being a bit nicer. Currently sat here wishing we had of stayed in Morocco!
