Welcome to todays diary entry! Another absolute scorcher here again today, literally probably the hottest place on earth. Think at one point it got to 35 degrees which for us is about 18 degrees too hot. There is nothing that makes us more uncomfortable that heat like that. That heat makes it way too hot to be outside and I am not one of those people who can just sit there and bask in it. I just cant I get flustered and i get too hot. It was probably not safe to come out until about 5 o’clock. The weather here is going to be like this for a couple more days but then towards Wednesday/ Thursday drops off a cliff and gets down to 20 degrees but that is fine for us that is. It means we can give the air con a rest.
What we have done last few days, which is helped by Ramadan is we have been sitting outside from about 07:30 and having a cup of tea outside and letting the Beef get some early morning fresh air and a kick about, because the clocks have gone backwards and because of the heat it has been nice to sit outside in a morning and as it is still quite cool it is before the flies wake up. So that last few days having a brew in the morning has been really nice. It was this time last year we were making our way south and i am sure that if we were at Camping Atlantica Parc we would be doing exactly the same there.

Our beer stash had emptied over the last 18 days so it was nice to have an evening of no beer. I tend to sleep considerably better if i have not had a beer the evening before so we were in bed for just after 10 and then i think i pretty much slept straight the way through until this morning. A couple of the nights we have been woken up by loud motorbikes, cockerels and other people but to be fair we had already been politely asked to keep the noise down on our first night so we were owed one anyway.
The Beef has a new favourite toy which is pebbles, he just sits there for ages running his hand over them, picking them up and then placing them somewhere else and then repeating that cycle again. This is despite the fact that we have recently bought him new toys from the Marjane but all the wooden trains and building blocks are no substitute for stones on the side of the pitch. Actually the more i think about it, all the places i don’t want him to go, all the things i don’t want him to pick up he just seems intent on doing exactly the things i dont want him to do.
