Welcome to todays diary entry! To confirm from what i said yesterday Desperados are bad for me. Very very bad indeed. We woke this morning and immediately I knew it was a 2 x paracetamol and 2 x ibuprofen kind of morning followed up swiftly by a Berocca. I didn’t feel at my best and was feeling quite groggy. We ended up meeting some friends from Agadir in the bar area and the rest they say is history. I had a bad head. We are in the midst of a mini heatwave in Marrakech and it is expected to get into the low 30s here and ever higher tomorrow.
It is funny because the heat here in Marrakech is a totally different heat to that of Agadir and it is noticeable. I spent a vast majority of this morning thanking god for the air conditioning, i literally could not have lived without it. It would have been an absolute nightmare without it. I am so so so so so so glad we got. I cannot stress enough to people without it that it completely transforms your travelling experience especially here and Europe in the summer. I wouldn’t ever not have it again.

It was even that hot today that we ventured into the pool, even i went into the pool despite my phobia of cold water. Once you are in it and after a short while it does get easier but it is that initial shock to the system. You could see that Beef was doing his best to put a brave face on as he loves the water but is more enamoured with it when it is warmer. The only heated pool we have had over here was at La Manzel Tortue and that was only the little kidney shaped pool that was heated. If it gets as hot as it says it is tomorrow i will be in that pool again because its forecast 34 degrees.
The Beef went down for his sleep late this afternoon so to try and help me recover from the Depserados we managed to have a team siesta which was just the remedy i needed. It does feel very holiday like here and because i was in such a good mood i had some more Desperados. On the first night we met a guy name Ed and he was telling us about his story. One of the things that people talk about is how they fund there trips and he was telling us that he bought some land in Scotland and turned it into a storage yard with shipping containers and he rents the storage space out. He has a big grey over landing truck and is planning on shipping it to Belize which sounds absolutely epic. My absolute dream would be driving from the top of North America to the tip of South America so that got us interested to see how much that would cost to ship it. May need a little bit more savings before we could do that but i think that would be incredible to do.
