Welcome to todays diary entry! It’s only my bloody birthday today!! 36 years old and to be honest probably one of the best birthdays i have ever head. It was absolutely superb from start to finish so i will take you through my day in order so as to no confuse you all. Because of last nights festivities i woke up feeling a bit delicate so i had a birthday lie in sanctioned by the boss so i managed to grab an extra 60 minutes on the back bed before i had to get up. As i woke up i spent 15 minutes with a cup of tea and then i went for a shower sometimes a good shower is all you need to cleanse your soul.
Then, the first of a series of lovely surprises came next which was our new scouse friends had a ukulele and he came over to the motorhome and played Happy Birthday and then twinkle twinkle little star for the Beef which was just brilliant! That, for me, is one of the amazing things about travelling in a motorhome is that if that was in the UK and someone you had met the day before turned up at your front door and started singing to you you would probably call the police but in the Sahara desert it is just the norm and all part of the fun.

The one thing that has been on my mind was worrying about the Stoke game which was on at 3pm UK time but 4pm our time and this was one of the reasons why my birthday was so good as we only went and won. To say it was a massive game was an understatement and that is 6 points out of 9 which had seen us drop into the relegation zone and there were a few squeaky bums around the prospect of us getting relegated but i just have never been able to believe it. The great thing is though is what i can see developing is a real sense of team spirit between the players and between the manager and fans and that is always important and in my opinion that has been lacking over the last 6 or so years.
After Stoke had won we headed off to Jordi and Naima for some tea, we were at this place last year solely for the reason that they sell beer so it was only fitting that we went back there again. They had put some decorations up for me and baked me a cake etc. The whole kitchen staff came out and sang happy birthday to me which was just so lovely and a delightful end to a delightful day. The company, the surroundings and the events of the day made it my best birthday ever.
