Diary Entry – 14th February 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Welcome to todays diary entry! Firstly and most importantly Happy Valentines to everyone! This time last year we in our short wheel base Ford Transit contemplating coming to Morocco. What a difference a year makes. This time round we are knee deep in Moroccan culture and thoroughly enjoying it. Yesterday was another busy day with work in the day but then after my shift was all about awnings and i was logged into the live chat seeing what i could try and sell. It was a quiet night on there as well to be honest. I seem to have shifted my little bit of a grey cloud that was hanging over me i think it was as much tiredness as anything whcih is even more annoying than anything considering i am getting more sleep now than i have for years.

If there is one thing the Beef is good at it is sleeping, well, that and eating. Ever since he was roughly 3 months old he was pretty much sleeping straight through so we have always been super lucky in that regard. We have still been walking every morning. To be fair, i have a bit of a confession to make…. today especially i have been worrying all day about my beloved Stoke City as we seem to found ourselves in a bit of a relegation dog fight and tonight we have a 6 pointer, and when i say a 6 pointer the absolute definition of a 6 pointer, the phrase 6 pointer was designed for matches like this.

So as you can imagine on Valentines day when Mum suggested we go out for food i insisted on getting a take away so i could watch the game on the firestick. The good news is that Stoke won, and it was one of the most anxious times in my life, proper proper stress. I was physically shaking and then all of a sudden out of no where the 4th official says there is 8 minutes of injury. Nonsense. Another example of the institutional campaign against Stoke to attempt to see us into league one. But not today. Not on our watch.

We had a little low light takeaway which consisted of Pizza and a couple of cans of beer to see us through. As we are one hour ahead here the game didn’t finish until 11 o’clock at night so as you can imagine by the time the game has finished and the adrenaline has settled down you feel absolutely drained. At least i will be able to read up on the game where as normally when we lose I totally block football out and pretend it doesn’t exist. All i am saying is that i am glad we won!
