Diary Entry – 12th January 2024

Did you know you can follow us on our journey on YouTube!!

Today was D-Day for sorting out the visa and motorhome extension. That involved finishing work a couple of hours early to get in a taxi and do a Visa tour of Agadir. To briefly recap when we got in to Morocco for some reason we only got 97 days for the motorhome instead of 6 months so we had to extend that and we were having some problems doing the Beefs visa as despite going to the town hall already and getting everything signed. So the plan was simple taxi to Banana town get his birth certificate stamped, then onto the Port to get the vehicle tag extended and then to the supermarket to get the big stuff for the week.

Things started off badly straight from the off. When we drove into Banana town the town hall was closed as they have a lunch break from 1pm until 2:30pm which we had forgotten about. So straight to the port to get the vehicle done, this was surprisingly easy to do actually and we were done within about 15 minutes and the Moho if it wanted to could stay here until the end of June although it wont be it be on the mainland of Europe by the end of April as that is when our visas run out, well depending on them all getting extended runs out end of April. SO we were back into the taxi to get to the Marjane we were originally going to go to a Camping shop to get some toilet chemicals but we decided against that as were conscious of the time that we had to get everything done.

We did a big shop in Marjane, every time we go here i always say lets do a food plan and only buy what we need but no plan survives first contact with the supermarket and before you know there was 3 pairs of PJs in there 3 bags of sweets (mine). And just like that we were £160 lighter. However, we stopped off at the little restaurant cafe thing that they have there and i had the nicest chicken sandwich ever. It was cooked on a griddle right in front of us and honestly it was absolutely lovely.

We left Marjane about 15:45 and we were a bit worried that we would not make it to the town hall in time as the taxi driver was under the impression that they closed at 4pm but when we got there at about 4:10 the doors were still open so we managed to get inside and get in the queue and back into the same office where we were last Tuesday. After another awkward 5 minute wait she stamped some more letters and sent us on our way back to the campsite to hand in our documents again.

After we had got back i thought id give Mum a bit of a break and take the Beef for a walk for 45 minutes (taking him for a walk was code for Coronation with 2 ice cold beers stashed under his pram). I sat round there for an hour or so and then those guys were off out for tea so we went for a little potter aboutt he site and we went to he football pitch to say to those guys up there and there was about 5 English vans up there now. SO we spent the next or so there having a drink. It is very very good up there. If Coronation Street is down the bottom that is Albert Square.
