Purchased myself an absolute treat today when we were shopping! Obviously Naieem bought me my Kaftan so whilst we were in the Uni Prix i decided to get the full kit and bought myself a hat to go with it and that is what i am going to wear to the New Years Eve party tomorrow. Today was a good day for a few reasons to be fair not only because we got to replenish our beer kitty for tomorrow as well. So we discovered something today based on other peoples recommendations and bearing in mind we have been here for over 2 months this time and did maybe 2 months earlier in the year (Agadir) and we always knew aboutt he Uni Prix but we were told about a meat market by the Uni Prix and it was absolutely brilliant.
Now we can get chicken by the campsite and mergues but that is pretty much it, saying that i have never been to the butcher that there is in banana town. Although being able to find steak without having to go to the big supermarket is ideal. The only thing we need now is somewhere that has a frozen section and then we only have to go as far as the Uni Prix. When we come back next November we will be insuring the van the whole time we are here the taxi test has been an experiment we probably wouldn’t do again i would drive to place i think we have spent considerably more on taxis that we would have on insurance and diesel and stuff. Especially when you would have to do another month anyway. So end of January we will insure the van over here for 3 months so we can drive about and then not get taxis.

By the end of the day we had already dipped into our NYE beer kitty. Whilst we were waiting for the taxi home from the Uni Prix we stopped in the bar at the bottom of the road and had a couple of quick drinks and then by the time we had got back we had a few more drinks and went round to coronation street. So our stock pile for the day was pretty much halved which to be fair i don’t mind as it means i can be fresh on New Years day ready for my new years resolutions! I am going to take my new years resolutions very serious this year. I have never really done them before so be interesting to see if i can stick to them.
