Diary Entry – 24th December 2023

We have had an absolutely wonderful day and probably one of my favourite days ever today. I always think that Christmas Eve is a better day to go out and have a drink or 2 than New Years Eve. I have always felt that NYE is massively overhyped and i have always loved going out on Christmas Eve. This one was certainly no different. We were on Coronation street ready for a Curry made by Naieem and secret Santa. I have always taken secret Santa quite serious and i do put a lot of thought into it.

I think we got there about 13:30 after i had done a couple of shuttle runs bringing stuff to Corrie St. I think I ended up doing to 3 trips and a bonus trip to take his play pen round. I took our 2 chairs, Jackery, solar panel and our 12v fridge to make sure i could keep the beer cold. I carried them round in my Outwell trolley as without that it would have been several more trips. I am a fussy eater and the curry had bits in but it was so so nice. It is always a sign of a well cooked meal if it has bits in and i like it. There was a take away in Cheadle called Jas Jas Jas and it was a Lebanese place and the food there was absolutely amazing as well and that had bits.

After the food became somewhat of a blur as festive spirit was flowing. As it does most nights Coronation Street closed at about 7pm and as we were walking home we got speaking to another English Van on the site and our 100 metre walk home ended up taking us about 4 hours and we got back at about 11pm. Well, i have been informed that was the case. All in all though it was just such an amazing day and we both said that we absolutely loved it. And we are extremely grateful to everyone for there hospitality and company
