Diary Entry – 11th December 2023

The festive spirit is in full swing now! We are only one rendition of the Pogues away from being Christmas day itself. This year will be the first year i have not spent Christmas in the UK and although i am excited i will miss my family. We are a tightly knit unit so not al being together will be tough but i will no doubt FaceTime them countless times throughout the day. Especially with this being the first real Christmas for the Beef to sort of understand what is going on.

I have been thinking about Moho Christmas traditions i can do with him and for him. I have been thinking about getting a safari room for the sun canopy instead of a drive away awning. As a starter the drive away awning isn’t attached to the moho it is over the other side of the pitch. I think to allow me to feel better pottering around and not being so worried about the weight of the motorhome i would get rid of the awning and just use a safari room. That is my plan anyway. I digress, (next year when he is a bit older i will put presents on the sofa part of the moho and we will have the roof light open so Santa can drop in a pop the presents in the motorhome. Santa wont like whiskey Santa will like Beer and a can will be left out for him. I will also do the snow flake foot prints on the floor of the motorhome so it looks like he has been kicking about in here.

I think we will probably come back here next year but maybe do 2 months on this site and do some driving about. Being here in the middle/ end of November would be essential because any later than that then you limit the choice of pitch etc. I will definitely be doing more touring next time especially if like i mentioned above we are lighter than now with less setting up to do whilst we are here. The dream would be to set up in 5 minutes and then pack away 5 minutes. I don’t think we are quite there yet. Streamlining the stuff we have in the motorhome is currently very much on my radar.
