Happy 8 month old birthday to the Beef! That means that he has now spent 50% of his life on the road being a baby culture vulture!! And what a little boy he is turning into! He has adopted his own personality and you can now start to see it shine through. For example the excited look on his face when he sees food and how he lifts his arms up as the food gets closer to him. He reminds me of a little baby bird when his Mum is trying to feed her young as they sit there with there mouths open. I’m pretty certain that you could give that lad any type of food and he would just scoff it up. Which is a good thing because I’m a right fussy bugger!
One of the things I’m most proud of is the fa t that he is immersed in lots of different cultures and all people of all ethnicities and all type of clothing and he doesn’t judge. Every single person gets the same gummy smile. One of his most endearing nicknames is “Gumzo”. We are just in the process of making sure that he gets pls Ty of floor time so he can try and start rolling over and start doing the things other children would do like crawling.
It’s also been for people to see him over a sustained period and sort of be substitutes for his family. Also, as a lot of those people will be coming back next year so we will look forward to showing him off so they can see how much he has grown. At least then in a morning we can send him round to our neighbours and they can give him his breakfast…. I’m only joking mostly. It’s mad how fast this 8 months have gone let alone how fast our time in Morocco has gone. We have loved every minute so far, it’s not all been fun and games but mostly it’s been a once in a lifetime experience.
