We packed up… there was snow forecast and we didn’t want to risk being there for another 2 or 3 days and having to take days away from sunnier climbs. So in the piss pouring rain I packed the awning up, the porch door and got soaked in the mean time. But we got it done, travelled 100 west to Gijon Port. I have to say how much I enjoyed that site, it was great, if it wasn’t for rain would be in my top 5 sites ever. I can imagine it being sensational in summer.
Rain is forecast until Saturday/ Sunday so limited really as to what we can do. The camper needs a thorough airing out as with the cold, condensation is rife. Used my karcher thing loads though. That is good fun!
Not sure what’s in Gijón apart from the Port obviously, that’s a good thing about arriving in the dark, it’s a bit of a surprise in the morning. No doubt Google will help us with activities. As soon as weather turns will need to get on a campsite and get awning etc out and get it dried. It’s not a disaster putting awning away wet as long as it’s cold. It’s the warm temperatures and wet awnings that are the problem. Hopefully get a bit of rest from the rain tomorrow so can out and about a bit. Surviving at the moment rather than thriving but that is VanLife I guess.
