A better day today, there will still signs of Satan earlier on today but we have had to start tough parenting so when he cries wildly, he has been left to sort himself out which actually lasted probably 3 minutes, and was faster than if he had of been in my arms. I have tried to be on parenting duty whilst Lisa wrote the Campervan Magazine article and i didnt do too bad. I am a bugger for loving the fun bits of parenting, the smiles, the oohs and ahhhs and the gurgles. However when things get tough i am not great. I am always trying to be better. I suppose that is why men went hunting in the ice age because they didn’t like listening to the babies cry. It just makes you think about how difficult it must be to be a single parent and doing it all on your own. A truly terrifying concept. Anyway, back to Vanlife ha ha ha.
The weather has been absolutely horrific today and we have not left the statis other than to get some shopping from the Sainsburys down the road. I took a carrier bag full of change to one of those machines and managed to whittle out £45 quid. £25 of that was in pound coins, 50ps and £2 coins. Those bloody machine take 10%?!? Robbing gits, I’m sure it used to be 7% I would to know how inflation has forced that to increase. We spent £150 in Sainsburys somehow but we did buy £30 worth of baby milk and stuff that will likely come with us on the trip. I just want to get going now, get on the road. I have been threatening to do some route planning but have not got round to it, time just seems to vanish.
We have a nice day planned tomorrow hopefully going into Torquay, there is a fishing shop and Lisa wants to get 2 little rods and some bits so we can harbour fish. I am not going to argue with that, i also think it will be a nice thing for us both to do etc, although i am competitive and if she becomes better than me i may accidentally snap her rod. We are now at the stage with weather apps where we can see that far into the future we can start planning our days a bit better now. I have spent a while now scheduling videos and getting the order ready for when they start, the plan will be for them to start this Sunday with 2 or 3 videos a week with a similar number of shorts. We have been looking at videos from a similar niche and they have gained 60k views in 30 days so if we can get anywhere near that then we will be onto a good thing. I am getting very very excited now.Very excited indeed.
Hi, there’s a great fishing tackle shop in Brixham, called Brixham bait and tackle, not too far from Torquay, and it’s probably cheaper. Brixham a lovely place to visit too. I am enjoying your diary entries, thank you.
Thank you for your kind words Tracey, went to Torquay today I will tell you all about it shortly x
