About Us

Hi! Thank you for visiting our site! We are Rich & Lisa and we’re looking to give up the Rat Race and the 9 – 5 life that haunts so many of us. We bought a Caravan in January 2022 and decided to place it onto a Seasonal Pitch where we spent the majority of our time.

In July 2022 we got a Campervan to replace the family car that broke down. This would give us the best of both worlds being on a seasonal and being able to get away for weekends and travel.

Life threw us a curveball in Sept 2022 when little Rory arrived 7 weeks early, with Lisa needing a life saving hysterectomy. We decided life was too short to wait so we started planning a year long trip in our Campervan.

Once on the road we fell in love with it and decided to come back to the UK to sell the caravan and campervan and get Motorhome to accommodate a fast growing Beef and allow us to live full time van life.

📹 We are vlogging and now blogging about our journey. If you want to see our tips, tricks, hacks and laughs along the way then please subscribe on our YouTube and hit the bell button so you don’t miss out on any of our videos.

💻 We hope to give up the 9-5, become debt free and inspire you to live outside your comfort zone 💪

👶🍼 With a baby growing so fast it’s going to be one crazy ride! 🚐

Rich

Hi, My name is Rich and I am the face of most of the videos. I am 34 from Stoke On Trent, most people who ask where is that get the response “in between Manchester and Birmingham”. I’m a keen traveller and have pretty much spent my whole life in a Caravan. Initially starting off in my Nan and Grandads static caravan in Prestatyn to spending 3 weeks in Northern France with my Dad as a young teenager. Still to this day that is the best holiday I have ever been on and would love to do it again some time. We basically spent the whole time visiting all of the Normandy beaches, the war memorials, the Bayeux tapestry, the list goes on and on. I have such fond memories of that trip which is probably where my love of camping comes from.

Once I entered into adulthood and my sister had met my brother in law, they bought an old Kon Tiki motorhome and they started camping.  I did not want to miss out so bought a very cheap £30 tent from Argos and went to Cofton in Devon, I loved it that much I went and bout an Horizon Air 6 tent which was brilliant. However I got sick and tired of setting that up, so I bought a trailer tent which also amazing. It was a Conway Cruiser 2008 model and it was one of the best things I have ever bought. I was lucky enough to have my Mum and step Dad borrow me the money for it as long as I paid them back, which I did of course. I had that for about 3 years before I had an issue towing, and I used to get stressed about putting it away wet etc and then my mind would wander onto Caravans.

I met the love of my life Lisa, in October 2021 and she was like me in the sense that she liked adventure, so we decided that we would buy a caravan. Having scoured the internet and watched literally 1000s of hours of YouTube we discovered some amazing channels like the Gypsy Souls, The Trudgian’s and Lost In Transit to name a few. To be honest we found some as well which were not so good and we thought we should have a go at that when we get our Caravan. We found our Swift Elegance in Glossop’s just after new year in 2022 and I had been on the waiting list at Blakemere for years. So it was destiny for timing really.

In February we got a bit of a surprise when we found out that we are going to have a baby which came as a huge surprise but a welcome one. To where we are now which as of writing is May 2022, nearly 5 months into our seasonal pitch writing an about us section for our website, with over 25 videos, 35000 views and 780 subscribers which in 4 months is incredible. We are not doing this to make money, as to be honest, there is almost no money to be made. We do this because caravanning, camping, motor homing is something we are hugely interested in.  Alongside a baby being on the way, it is going to be one hell of a ride! Hope you enjoy!

Lisa

Hi, my name is Lisa and I do a lot of work behind the scenes like the website, branding and running the Instagram account.   I am 41 from Glasgow, no one ever asks where that is ‘cause everyone knows it’s in sunny Scotland!   My camping and caravanning experiences have been limited to a holiday at Butlins, and two coach trips to Spain, once we stayed in a big tent and the other time was a static caravan.  I’ll never forget the tent holiday as one night I got up to use the toilet and somehow ended up in the wrong tent!  I thought I was snuggling in with my parents but it was two complete strangers, well not quite strangers, it was my holiday friend’s parents who thought it was very funny.  I can see the funny side now but at the time I was mortified!

I fell head over heels in love with Rich in October 2021 and I immediately took to a love for all things camping too.  We spent a couple of nights at Blakemere just before Christmas and then again for New Year in the trailer tent.  Rich had been on the waitlist for ages for a pitch and when his time to be at the top arrived we both were up for buying a caravan.  I was buzzing for this new chapter in my life.  We had only been on our pitch for a month when we found out we were having a baby.  It was a bit of a surprise but we are now planning on raising the baby as much as we can in the caravan and have a simple way of life with as much time outdoors and doing family activities most of the time.

I’m trying to get more confident in front of the camera and working on my editing skills so as the year goes on you should see more of me.  I hope you’ll choose to follow our journey!  See you soon, xx Lisa @onlyvans
